Why won't my iCloud synchronise with my other devices? Firstly all iCloud devices need to have iCloud resident on that device, then need to be included in the synchronised group. In plain English, iCloud needs to be stored on each device. To do so your Mac must be running Lion, OSX 10.7, your iPad on IOS 5.0.1 or higher and your iPhone on IOS 5.0.1 or higher. iCloud must be installed on each device. Secondly your iCloud account needs to be activated. If you double click the iCloud extension on any of your devices, you will be prompted to open an Apple ID. This has to be done. Write down the password. Dont have 2 Apple Id's it'll cause problems. Thirdly the account must be activated and invoked. Switch on the apps you want synchronised and then do the same on the other devices. Make sure that iCloud is ON, on each device and the backup and then the synchronisation will begin. We have discovered that if the synchronisation is not complete, it might be best to start again, even with a new Apple Id, making sure you delete the old one. Accounts that go wrong do so
for several reasons. |
